Acer has added two new models to its portfolio, available with either Windows 10 or Android.
Acer has announced a handful of Microsoft powered smartphones at IFA, including the M330 and M320.
The 4.5-inch M330 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 310 and comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. There are two five-megapixel cameras onboard, and it runs Windows 10 Mobile. It's schedule for release in EMEA later this year with a €129 price tag.
The slightly lower-specced Windows 10 Mobile M320 also has 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, and a 4.5-inch display, but it runs on a Qualcomm MSM 8209 processor, and has a two-megapixel front-facing camera teamed with a five-megapixel rear-shooter. Unlike the 4G M330, the M320 only has 3G and it's pitched as a device for first-time smartphone buyers.
Both phones will also be in Android variants with identical hardware specs, known as Z330 and Z320.
The company also teased a more high end Windows device, the Jade Primo. The handset, which Acer is marketing as the 'PC in your pocket' will run on Windows 10 Mobile, and support Continuum, the OS' feature which allows handsets to be used as the core of impromptu PC setups.
Jade Primo will have a 5.5-inch super AMOLED display and run on a Snapdragon 808 processor. The rear-facing camera will be 21-megapixels, while the selfie snapper will be eight megapixels. There's no details on pricing and availability yet, however.
Acer released two Windows Phone devices earlier this year, with the Windows 8.1-powered Liquid M220.
According to statistics from analyst house IDC, Windows Phone's share of the smartphone market has fallen over the last year from 2.8 percent to 2.5 percent. Microsoft itself, which accounts for the vast majority of Windows Phone devices sold, is stepping away from the mobile market: CEO Satya Nadella said in July that the company would have a "more focused phone portfolio" in future.
